A Trieste-raised winemaker's return to the Istrian vines his family once farmed.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of indigenous Istrian Malvasia, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio grown in the Istria region of Croatia.
Taste Profile: A harmonious mix of citrus and tropical fruit — ripe lemon, pineapple and peach — with floral and herbal undertones. Medium to full-bodied, with vibrant acidity and a mineral-driven character through a long finish.
Winemaking Process: Hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, destemmed and fed into open-top oak barrels for spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, then aged in oak for at least 2 years.
Winemaker: Giorgio Clai grew up in a family that had farmed vines in Istria before being displaced to Trieste, where he spent years in the hospitality industry before returning to his roots. He founded his winery in 2001 in Krasica, near Buje in Croatian Istria, inspired by the natural wines of Italy's nearby Collio region, farming without chemicals or pesticides under organic and biodynamic principles. His skin-contact whites have made him recognised as a pioneer of the modern orange wine movement.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
