Floral & Mineral Orange Wines
Generally made from more neutral grape varieties or with a shorter, lighter skin maceration, these wines can be thought of as a bridge between classic white wines and more intense orange styles.
They retain freshness and precision while gaining added texture and grip from skin contact. Aromatically, they tend to show subtle floral notes, citrus blossom, white stone fruit, and wet stone or saline mineral tones rather than overt oxidative aromas. On the palate, they are elegant and restrained, with fine tannins that add structure without overwhelming the wine.
While they may lack the nutty or honeyed depth of more oxidative orange wines, they still deliver body, complexity, and a gently phenolic finish, making them versatile and food-friendly, especially with seafood, fresh cheeses, or lighter vegetable dishes.
