A natural village Morgon from one of the founding members of Beaujolais' famed Gang of Four.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Gamay from old vines in Morgon, Beaujolais, France, grown on a unique volcanic hillside terroir of schist and granite. A natural wine made with minimal intervention in the winery, with all the meticulous work done in the vineyard.
Taste Profile: A natural young village wine delivering ripe fruit aromas. A silky mouthfeel, powdery tannins and refreshing acidity on the medium-bodied palate, with fruity, fresh cherry flavour, a good dose of minerals, and a lightly herbal, spiced character.
Winemaking Process: The fruit undergoes thorough selection at the winery, then whole-bunch spontaneous maceration with native yeasts, without destemming, followed by maturation in vats. Bottled without chaptalisation, filtration or added sulphur.
Winemaker: Jean Foillard took over his family's Morgon vineyards with his father in 1981, then plunged into the natural wine movement in 1985, converting his 16 hectares of Gamay to organic farming. Alongside Marcel Lapierre, Jean-Paul Thévenet and Guy Breton, he became part of the "Gang of Four" — a group of Morgon producers who followed the teachings of natural-wine pioneer Jules Chauvet, rejecting chaptalisation, herbicides and added sulphur in favour of native-yeast fermentation and minimal intervention.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
