Buccia Nera "Pa’ro" Orange 2022
Raw and fine at the same time.
Grape Varietals & Region: Trebbiano 40%, Grechetto 40%, Malvasia 20% from Tuscany, Italy.
Taste Profile: Intense gold in colour with golden reflections tending toward orange. An intense bouquet recalling the herbaceous scents of Trebbiano and very ripe yellow fruit, mainly yellow peach. Smooth on the palate with a pleasant warmth from its good alcohol, balanced by good acidity and minerality. A light presence of tannin leaves the mouth pleasantly dry — a long, persistent wine.
Winemaking Process: Fermented on the skins in the orange-wine tradition, drawing colour, texture and a fine grip of tannin from extended skin contact before bottling.
Winemaker: Buccia Nera's story began in the late 19th century, when the first cellar was built in San Polo and the earliest vines went into the ground at Podere della Filandra, near Arezzo in Tuscany. The unusual name — "black skin" — was inspired by the deeply tanned, weathered skin of the founders' grandfather, coloured by decades of sun and long hours in the vineyard. The family began producing Chianti DOC as early as 1926, expanding over the years with the Campriano and Muciafora estates. Amadio and Patrizia Mancini modernised the winery through the 1970s and converted it to organic farming in 2001; today it's run by their three daughters, Anastasia, Alessia and Roberta Mancini.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
