Wines of the Month
Wine Observance Galore!
September carries five internationally recognised wine observance days, and we're celebrating these days with a classic option, as well as a fun unconventional one!
September 1 — International Cap Classique Day
South African méthode traditionnelle sparkling. South Africa is flagged in the Portfolio Review as the group's biggest "should be bigger than it is" gap — good price-value fit, but flat and under-marketed. This is a natural excuse to spotlight it
September 3 — International Cabernet Sauvignon Day
One boutique story pick with volume to move, one that leans into the Eastern-Europe natural-wine belt
September 4 — National Chianti Day
Italy is 8.7% of mapped wine revenue and spans everyday to premium — pairing an accessible Chianti Classico with the top of the classification ladder shows that range in one feature
September 10 — International Port Wine Day
An everyday luxury, and a declared vintage for a genuine occasion
September 18 — International Grenache Day
An old-vine, dry-farmed Garnacha from the same Epila, Zaragoza family estate. As well as a Margaret River indie producer
As always, each Wine of the Month pick is available at a special price for the month only — a great way to taste your way through a region without committing to a full case
