Radikon "Oslavje" 2020
An OG of orange wine, from the family that helped bring skin contact whites back from the brink.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from Oslavia, in the Collio hills of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy, right on the border with Slovenia.
Taste Profile: Bright orange-coppery yellow in the glass. Complex and intense, with hints of apple, fig and dried fruit alongside a pleasant ethereal edge. Elegant and concentrated, fruity yet mineral.
Winemaking Process: Natural fermentation followed by maceration on skins in oak vats for 2 to 4 months, then maturation in large 25-35 hectolitre casks for 3 years. Bottle aged for a further 2 years before release, with no added sulphur.
Winemaker: Saša Radikon represents the fifth generation of the legendary Radikon estate in Oslavia, growing up at his father Stanko's side learning to farm the local grapes and perfect the punch-downs on the heavy, skin-contact musts. Stanko, who died in 2016, was a central figure in the revival of extended skin maceration in northern Italy, and Saša took over the estate on his passing, honouring his father's uncompromising natural methods — native-yeast fermentation, organic farming, no manipulation — while bringing his own sense of balance to the wines. Radikon today produces around 65,000 bottles a year, exported to more than 20 countries.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
