Le Coste di Gradoli "Litrozzo" Bianco 2022
Incredibly drinkable but never simple, grown on volcanic soil above one of Italy's oldest crater lakes.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend mainly of Procanico and Malvasia with a little Roscetto, Verdello, Petino and Romanesco, from certified organic, biodynamically farmed vines on volcanic, iron- and mineral-rich soils near Lake Bolsena in Gradoli, central Italy. At 450 metres altitude, the vines experience a mild climate that is neither quite Mediterranean nor continental.
Taste Profile: A hazy gold colour, with citrus and spice filling the nose and leading to a savoury palate with bright acidity and blinding freshness. Crunchy pomelo, rich mango and salty starfruit flavours are made complex by hints of basil and verbena.
Winemaking Process: Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts on the skins for 2 days, followed by a short ageing in fibreglass tank vats.
Winemaker: Le Coste was founded in 2004 by Gianmarco Antonuzzi and Clémentine Bouveron, who met working for Bruno Schueller in Alsace and both trained under legendary French vignerons including Dard et Ribo, Dominique Hauvette, Philippe Pacalet and Didier Barral before settling in Gradoli. Their 14-hectare estate above Lake Bolsena is farmed biodynamically, though not formally certified, using far less copper and sulfur than certification typically allows.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
