Maurice Gavignet Mersault 2023
Maurice Gavignet is a family-owned winery in Burgundy, France, with a history spanning four generations. Founded by Honoré Gavignet in Nuits Saint Georges, he was born in 1879 and worked at the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti until 1920 before settling in Nuits-St-Georges.
Today, the domaine continues to be known for its Pinot Noir wines, particularly those from the Côte de Nuits region. Over the last decade, the Domaine has grown with vineyards on the Côte de Beaune at Monthelie, Santenay, Savigny les Beaune and Pommard. This is how the Domaine becomes one of the pearls of the Côte d'Orien vineyard.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from Mersault appellation in Burgundy, France. The vines are on average 35 years of age, and planted on clay & limestone soils with a subsoil of limestone rock.
Taste Profile: Aromas of lemon zest & pepper. On the palate, a mineral backbone with notes of citrus & lime with an incredible balance
Winemaking Process: The fruit is handpicked & undergo a direct press. From there, spontaneous fermentation with 100% malolactic fermentation occurs, and the wine spends 12 months maturing on lees in oak before being transferred to vats for bottling

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
