It's been a hard couple of years for a lot of people, so this one is designed to be chilled, drunk fast and not overthought.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Malvasia, Schioppettino (vinified rosé-style) and Syrah, all grown in the rocky, red volcanic soils of Heathcote, Victoria. It's the first release of this cuvée since 2017, built with the same brief as Momento Mori's Fistful of Flowers: make something as chillable and drinkable as possible without sacrificing real character.
Taste Profile: Aromatic, energetic and slightly wild, with acid-driven, medium-to-light body. There's genuine complexity and layers of fruit underneath the immediacy — it holds up over a couple of days and reportedly shows even better on day two. Best served chilled, though it has enough flesh to work at ambient temperature with food too.
Winemaking Process: Small ferments with wild yeast, no new oak, no mechanical pumps, no fining, no filtration and no additions of any kind — including sulphur. Grapes come both from the estate's own volcanic-soil vineyards and from like-minded organic growers across Victoria.
Winemaker: Momento Mori is the project of winemaker Dane Johns, whose entire philosophy is built around subtraction rather than addition: "I'm just trying to make wines as pure and as clean as I can, without adding anything at all. That includes sulphur. I kind of like the constraints of not using sulphur — I guess it's like farming organically, it instantly ensures you can only do things gently and in small batches." He works both his own Heathcote vineyards and fruit from a small network of fastidious, sustainability-minded growers around Victoria.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
