Westcott Vineyards Estate Reserve Chardonnay 2021

Westcott Vineyards Estate Reserve Chardonnay has a wow factor you won't want to miss. Pale lemon colour in the glass. Exudes rich aromas of white stone fruit with a peach and vanilla colouring. Dry and full-bodied on the palate with a creamy texture, crisp acidity and incredible length. Baked apple, a generous dose of bright lemon citrus, hints of brioche and caramel/butterscotch. Closes with a long toasty finish

100% Chardonnay from the Westcott Vineyards "Home Farm". This 16 hectare vineyard sits in the Vinemont Ridge appellation of the Niagara Region at an altitude of 170 metres with a 3% southeasterly slope. The soils are pockets of Beverly and Cashel clay loams and Alluvium till along the creek that traverses the property. Underlying these topsoils is very deep Halton Clay till overlaying the dolostone and limestone bedrock of the Niagara Escarpment. These soils are extremely calcareous.

After fermentation, the wine ages in a special selection of French oak barrels.
