Lingua Franca
The Name “Lingua Franca" is a universal language that can bring people from diverse backgrounds together sharing a moment of pleasure. Lingua Franca, named after the Franks, was a universal language in the Middle Ages that could be understood by all and was used along the trade routes. It was the language of diplomacy and brought people together from diverse cultures. Lingua Franca also means to "speak frankly," directly, just as our wines aim to speak directly of their terroir, their place.
Abbadia Ardenga
Abbadia Ardenga, a winery which is part of the history of Brunello di Montalcino, is extremely special and definitely worth visiting, not only for its products but also for its outstanding charm. The estate has a very long history, having once belonged to the powerful Piccolomini family, whose members included Pope Pius II, responsible for the construction of the town of Pienza, a masterpiece of the Renaissance.

Welcome to boundbywine's behind the vineyard! Today, our guest is a veteran in and around McLaren Vale. We are very honored and privileged to be introducing Peter Fraser with us today. How's it going over there Peter? It's just after harvest season isn't it? It's great. Where we've been doing a bit of tasting and a bit of blending and so it's a good day. We finished harvest at kind of mid April. And it's always kind of busy with a bit of all the wines finishing fermentation and malolactic fermentation. And now just kind of a little bit more...
