"We will play with the flowers" — a playful name for one of Abruzzo's most elegant whites, made from a grape nearly lost to history.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pecorino, from organic estate vineyards in the foothills of the Gran Sasso, in the heart of Abruzzo, Italy. The vineyards are located downstream of the Tavo torrent, where the soil is clayey-calcareous, rich in skeleton, with strong temperature swings between day and night that give the grapes a strong exaltation of their aromatic profile. Recently recovered in this territory, Pecorino is a low-yield native variety of significant enological value, deserving of wine lovers' attention.
Taste Profile: A medium-bodied white wine characterised by floral and citrus notes and a soft, fresh, fragrant taste, enriched by highly expressive herbaceous and mineral tones, well balanced by an acidic-savoury streak that makes it truly splendid. "We are playing with flowers" is the perfect title for a wine that smells of elderflowers and beeswax, and has a remarkable amount of both texture and tart, typical Pecorino acidity on the palate. The nose is fine and elegant, with hints of pear and white flowers, rounded by pleasant honeyed notes and hints of medicinal herbs. On the palate it is soft, with an excellent balance between alcohol, acidity, and minerality. Rated 91pts by Vinous and 90pts by James Suckling. Ideal with risotto, gnocchi in cheese sauce, Adriatic fried fish, or medium-aged pecorino cheese.
Winemaking Process: Obtained through repeated harvest pickings and a traditional, non-intrusive vinification, this wine is aimed at expressing Pecorino's fundamental characteristics — exalting, without excess, the fresh and not-banal aromatic complexity and particular tasting profile, where alcohol, acidity, and minerality are all well present in perfect balance. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, the wine ages in steel before being bottled

Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
