Sem Igual Pet Nat Rosé 2023
A cloudy, bottle-fermented pét-nat from a Vinho Verde grower reviving a winemaking lineage that goes back to 1780.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of 50% Baga and 50% Touriga Nacional from north-facing, single-slope vineyards in Vinho Verde, Portugal, grown on granite and gravel soils at 200-300 metres, with vines aged 4-70 years trained in ascending unilateral cordon and Pergola systems.
Taste Profile: Cloudy pink to orange in colour, with expressive aromas of strawberries, raspberry and currant that follow through to a bubbly, medium-bodied palate.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are pressed softly and quickly using dry ice to avoid intensive colour extraction, then fined with plant-based gelatin before fermentation at a controlled 14-16°C, with bentonite added midway to stabilise proteins. Once sugar content reaches 20-25g/l, the wine is bottled through clean valves with total lees, undergoing 100% bottle fermentation with no added sulfites, secondary yeasts, sugars or filtering.
Winemaker: Sem Igual was founded by João Camizão, an ex-telecom engineer who left the corporate world to revive his family's winemaking roots, which trace back to 1780. A fourth-generation member of a Porto wine family, João returned from years working in India determined to make a Vinho Verde "without equal" — releasing his first vintage in 2012 and building his own winery in the Amarante and Sousa subregion in 2021.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
