Champagne Le Brun de Neuville Millésime Extra Brut 2009
A single vintage aged almost a decade in a Bethon grower cooperative's cellars before release.
Grape Varietals & Region: 93% Chardonnay and 7% Pinot Noir from a 40-year-old vineyard in the Côte de Sézanne, Champagne, France, on southeast-facing slopes with clay and chalk soils.
Taste Profile: Straw yellow in colour, with fine effervescence and mature fruity aromas on the nose, supplemented by yeasty notes of brioche and hazelnut.
Winemaking Process: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tank, followed by malolactic fermentation in bottle, where it ages for 120 months on lees.
Winemaker: Le Brun de Neuville was founded in 1963 in Bethon, in the then little-known Côte de Sézanne, when 27 winegrowers banded together as a cooperative under the name La Crayère — including founding president André Vandier and the Comtesse de Reviers, heiress to the Château de Bethon and the Le Brun de Neuville name. The Le Brun family had owned Château de Bethon since the mid-19th century, when Charles-Henry Lebrun added "de Neuville" to the family name after a parcel of land the family held. Today the cooperative counts close to 170 grower-members farming 150 hectares across seven villages — 88% Chardonnay, 11% Pinot Noir and 1% Pinot Meunier — pooling small growers' fruit into a single, distinctive Côte de Sézanne voice.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
