Description

Left Coast Cellars Cali's Cuvee Pinot Noir 2018

Left Coast Cellars Cali's Cuvee Pinot Noir is their flagship Pinot Noir – a true snapshot of the terroir and a window to the estate. Expressive black cherry, black tea and forest floor aromas. There's a freshness on the palate that can only be found in the Willamette Valley, and accompanying mild tannins. Displays bright and poised raspberry and plum flavours, hints of bitter chocolate, toffee and a minerality on the finish that is distinctive to the region.

Fun Fact: Named in honour of Cali, the owner's daughter.

100% Pinot Noir. The fruit for this wine comes from all the blocks and different clone selections from Left Coast vineyards in Willamette Valley, Oregon. The vines are nurtured responsibly and hand tended alongside its surrounding oak savanna. Gravity-fed drip irrigation is used, solar energy is utilised for vineyard operations, and plant cover crops to attract pollinators.

Fermentation with 90% in stainless steel and 20% in open top oak fermenters. The wine ages for 9 months in French oak (10% new, 90% neutral).
