Artemis Karamolegos "34" Assyrtiko 2022
Named for 34 centuries of winemaking tradition on Santorini.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Assyrtiko from 120-year-old vines across the villages of Pirgos, Exo Gonia, Fira, Akrotiri and Megalochori, grown in Santorini's arid, dry, sandy soils of volcanic origin.
Taste Profile: Gunflint and chalk on a tight, smoky mineral nose, with waxy citrus and lemon blossom. Bone-dry, concentrated and extractive on the palate, supremely fresh and linear, with a saline character and flavours of crushed oyster shells and grapefruit. Persistent, focused and full of life and energy, extremely long and complete, with a touch of fresh almonds in the aftertaste.
Winemaking Process: Cold soak on skins, with the free-run juice fermented using selected and indigenous yeasts, 10% of it in barrels. The wine ages on lees for 9 months with frequent lees stirring.
Winemaker: Artemis Karamolegos traces back to 1952, when his grandfather first cultivated vines in Exo Gonia. Artemis has led the winery since 2004, taking it from family bulk wine to a modern, internationally recognised producer that remains one of Santorini's largest, rooted in vines that have grown here for 34 centuries.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
