Kindeli wines are the product of Alex Craighead and Josefina Venturino. Drawn to low intervention wines & winemaking, there wasn’t a lot on offer in New Zealand, so they began to experiment in 2013, which became business in 2016 by buying a winery

Kindeli Primavera 2021

Grape Varietals & Region: Blend of Syrah, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Chardonnay, from Nelson, New Zealand.

Taste Profile: Delicious fruit, watermelon, strawberries and apples. It’s fun, electric and super enjoyable. Be careful when opening! Let the carbonation slowly out, let the hiss tell you when is safe to fully remove the bottle cap.

Winemaking Process: The reds were whole-cluster pressed, and the whites were soaked on skins overnight. Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tank. At 10g/l of sugar, the wine is chilled, settled, and racked

Ancestral Method

Also known as Petillant Naturel, it's the oldest version of sparkling wine making, and involves bottling the wine before fermentation has finished. A single fermentation is applied, trapping carbon dioxide to create natural carbonation.
This results in a little less control, and wines can sometimes come across a less refined compare to the traditional champagne method, and sometimes tends to have a slightly more beer-ish or cider-ish taste
