Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Gamay sourced from a specific, steep single vineyard parcel positioned directly below the winemaker's home in Marchampt, located in the western hills of the Beaujolais region, France. Sitting at a high altitude of roughly 450 to 500 metres above sea level, the vineyard features slopes of highly decomposed, sandy, and gravelly red granite, mixed with schist and volcanic soils. Because it is made without inputs outside conventional appellation boundaries, it carries the Vin de France (VdF) classification.
Taste Profile: A deep, smoky, and mineral-driven expression of Gamay that balances a slightly sun-drenched (solaire) profile with brilliant freshness. The 2022 vintage opens with an aromatic nose of small red berries, dark fruits, and a touch of wild strawberry (fraise tagada). The palate is incredibly savory and highly digestible (sapide), offering fine, melted tannins, vibrant acidity, and a subtle touch of natural carbon dioxide (fizz) upon opening. It concludes with a very clean, refreshing, and lifted finish.
Winemaking Process: Crafted using natural, non-certified biodynamic agriculture by Adeline and Hervé Ravera. The steep vines are worked manually using a pickaxe and a winch to prevent soil compaction. The hand-picked grapes undergo an entirely spontaneous semi-carbonic maceration in closed concrete vats using only native yeasts. The grapes are pressed using a massive, 100-year-old manual wooden press. Vinification proceeds completely without inputs, temperature control, pumping, or punching down (pigeage). The wine is bottled by hand, unfined, unfiltered, and without any added sulfur dioxide (SO2)

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
