Garon Syrah "Les Grandes Parcelles" is affectionately referred to as a baby Côte-Rôtie.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Syrah. The fruit comes from large plots on steep, sun soaked vineyards in Ampuis, in the heart of the Côte-Rôtie. The vineyard has an altitude of 150–250 metres, experiences a continental climate, and has gneiss, granite and schist soils.
Taste Profile: Opens with a blackberry and violet floral nose. Elegant palate with fine tannins, nice tension and a fleshy texture. Its complexity continues to build, entice and beckon with intense black cherry, blackberry and black pepper flavours. Closes in a long, balanced and savoury finish.
Winemaking Process: Hand harvesting of the fruit, followed by traditional and gentle vinification. Deliberately subtle oak ageing so as to entice you back and again.
Powerful modern reds with the ability to age. They tend to be very intense, with ripe fruit, firm tannins & drinkability either young or cellared.
They often have notes of forest floor, blackcurrant, mint & eucalyptus
