Lumen Grenache Martian Ranch 2017 is a delightful wine that captures the essence of the Martian Ranch terroir. This Grenache has a bright ruby color and offers aromas of red fruit, spices, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is juicy and medium-bodied, with flavors of ripe cherries, strawberries, and a touch of earthy minerality.
This wine is made from 100% Grenache grapes, sourced from the Martian Ranch vineyard in Santa Barbara County. The grapes were hand-harvested, fermented with natural yeasts, and aged in neutral French oak barrels for 18 months.
Lumen Wines is a collaboration between two winemakers, Brian and Stephy Terrizzi, who share a passion for crafting small-batch, artisanal wines that express the unique terroir of California's Central Coast. Prior to starting Lumen, Brian and Stephy honed their winemaking skills at some of the most respected wineries in California, including Plumpjack, Paraduxx, and Giornata.
With Lumen, they focus on producing site-specific wines that reflect the distinct qualities of each vineyard they work with.
