A blend of 50% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella, 5% Oseleta. Ripe fruit aromas, with notes of blackcurrant, raspberry, and dried herbs. Full bodied on the palate with rich fruit flavours, bright acidity, and a lingering finish
Our recommendation for this bottle is as a fabulous fullblown after-dinner wine, or to go with red meat, game, quails and richly flavoured dishes. Recommended decanting for an hour
The grapes of the “Corte Brà” estate are carefully selected, put into small plastic crates and dried in well ventilated rooms for about 3-4 month. When the best grade of dryness is reached, the grapes are selected again. Only the best grapes are used for the production of this wine. The fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks lasts for about 30 days to develop the optimal level of alcohol. After a period in concrete tanks, where it undergoes Malolactic Fermentation, the wine is aged in medium- and smallsized oak casks for about 4 years. After bottling the wine refines for at least 6 months.
Deep, fruit-driven and jammy; filled with ripe, rich fruit and a plethora of spices. This style is typified by Australian Shiraz, Sonoma Zinfandel and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Expected typically notes of pepper, spice, raspberry, plum, leather
Passito wines is the use of dried grapes to make wines. The main difference from late harvest is that these wines are often picked when ripe & dried after picking, and can be dried to different levels of moisture. A practice made popular by Italy, it has been adopted in various other regions
