Domaine Arnaud Baillot Nuits-Saint-Georges Village Red 2020
A young négociant-turned-domaine winemaker's Côte de Nuits red, built from vines he's steadily been buying back one parcel at a time.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from organic vineyards in the AOC Nuits-Saint-Georges Village, with an eastern exposure, grown in limestone and marl soil under a continental climate with slightly higher temperatures and rainfall than the appellation's neighbours.
Taste Profile: Deep red in colour, with a powerful, elegant nose of cherry, blackberry and cedarwood. Beautifully balanced between structure and softness, closing with a long aftertaste of fruit syrup and mild spice.
Winemaking Process: Manual harvesting with parcel-by-parcel ripeness monitoring and grape sorting. Traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks over 15 days, with no punch-downs, pumped over twice daily until the end of fermentation. Ages 12 months in Burgundy oak (25% new). No filtering before bottling.
Winemaker: Arnaud Baillot completed his oenology master's in 2013 and began making wine in Beaune soon after, launching his own label in 2015 with his wife Laure, whose family owns Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat in Chambolle-Musigny. Initially built mostly on purchased fruit from top Burgundy terroirs, the domaine has steadily shifted toward Arnaud's own vines under lutte raisonnée farming since 2014, and by 2023 the range was made almost entirely from estate-owned parcels across the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
