Showcasing the mastery of Willi Schaefer and the unique terroir of the Graacher Domprobst vineyard.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from the Graacher Domprobst vineyard, a prestigious site known for its steep slopes and slate soils. That terroir imparts a distinct mineral character, adding complexity and depth of flavour to the wine.
Taste Profile: A vibrant golden hue in the glass, opening onto a bouquet of ripe peaches, citrus blossom and hints of honey. On the palate, this Spätlese offers a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity — luscious ripe stone fruit like apricot and nectarine dances with zesty citrus and a touch of minerality, carried by a medium body and silky texture.
Winemaking Process: The grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed whole cluster, and spontaneously ferment and age in large old Fuder barrels.
Winemaker: Willi Schaefer traces its winemaking history in Graach back to records from 1121, with the family's own estate dating to 1590 — a benchmark for the Mosel, coveted not just by collectors but by other growers. Since 2015, Christoph Schaefer and his wife Andrea have run the storied family winery, and their winemaking philosophy hasn't shifted much from that of Christoph's father or grandfather: less focus on numbers and analytics, more on how the grapes actually taste, from harvesting each plot through fermentation with natural yeast to bottling — all done by feel.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
