A chillable field blend of Zweigelt, Pinot Noir and Blaufränkisch from Wagram's loess hills — the playful, drink-now side of a serious organic estate.
Grape Varietals & Region: A field blend of regional red varieties — Zweigelt, Pinot Noir and Blaufränkisch — sourced from multiple loess-soil sites across Wagram, north-west of Vienna. Weingut Diwald has farmed organically since 1976 (among the earliest converts in Austria) and added biodynamic practices from 2023; the estate banned commercial yeasts from its cellar back in 2006 under Martin Diwald, who took the reins that year with a philosophy against anything "manufactured."
Taste Profile: Crunchy red cherry and wild strawberry with subtle floral and herbal lift, light structure, built to be served with a slight chill. "Vom Norden" (from the North) is the more playful, immediately drinkable side of the Diwald range — fresh rather than serious.
Winemaking Process: Short, gentle fermentation with only a few days on skins to keep things bright and aromatic rather than extracted. Hand-picked, native-yeast fermentation across the board at Diwald.
Winemaker: Hans and Paula Diwald took over the family farm in 1972 and began converting to organic farming in 1976; their son Martin took over winemaking in 2006 and pushed the estate further toward native-yeast, additive-free winemaking, adding biodynamic certification in 2023. Vom Norden is Diwald doing what it does best without the seriousness — proof that a genuinely committed organic estate can still make something this easygoing.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
