Slate and quartz Kabinett from 1971-planted vines — light, lemony and alive, the kind of Mosel Riesling that convinces skeptics.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from the Wintricher Ohligsberg vineyard, another of A.J. Adam's grand cru-caliber Mosel sites, on slate and quartz soil. The fruit for this cuvée comes from vines planted in 1971, trained on single poles in the lower part of the vineyard. A.J. Adam farms this alongside Dhroner Hofberg and Dhroner Goldtröpfchen as its core trio of top sites in Neumagen-Dhron.
Taste Profile: Stony, slaty smokiness trailing into lemon on the nose; the palate is all ease and lightness — lemon fruit, a gentle touch of natural sweetness, sprightly acidity and real vibrancy. Classic Kabinett drinkability: low alcohol, high refreshment, built for a whole afternoon at the table.
Winemaking Process: Fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and fruit purity, with fermentation stopped naturally at Kabinett-level ripeness rather than pushed toward drier, heavier styles.
Winemaker: Andreas Adam and Barbara Gudelj run this small Neumagen-Dhron estate with an unfussy, low-intervention hand — no cultured yeast, no süssreserve, everything left to the site and the vintage to decide. Ohligsberg Kabinett is the most immediately drinkable expression of that philosophy: pure, precise, and honest about what a cool year on old vines actually tastes like.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
