A grape born from a 1930s Hungarian breeding experiment, sold to the merchant it's now named for.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Irsai Olivér, a Hungarian crossing of Pozsonyi and Pearl of Csaba created in 1930 by breeder Pál Kocsis at the Kecskemét Research Institute — officially registered in 1975 and named after Oliver Irsai, the merchant who bought Kocsis's first batch of wine from the grape.
Taste Profile: Candied lemon peel over a solid, pure grape-juice base, with honeydew and musky plums appearing on the finish. Bright tropical aromas of pineapple and passion fruit with a hint of white flowers, crisp and zesty on the palate with a good balance of acidity and sweetness.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are carefully selected, gently pressed and cool-fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the variety's fruity, floral aromatics, then bottled young to capture freshness and vivacity.
Winemaker: Vojtek is a Hungarian family winery with winemaking running through the family for more than 30 years, applying its hands-on approach across both its indigenous and international plantings.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
