Vietti Timorasso Derthona DOC 2023
A nearly-extinct Piedmontese white grape, revived by one of Barolo's most storied names and built to age like a serious red.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Timorasso, sourced from a mosaic of 13 hectares across three distinct zones of the Colli Tortonesi appellation around Monleale, on limestone and clay soils — the same soils that give the area's reds their structure, here channelled into a white built to age.
Taste Profile: Riesling-like aromatics of lime candy, ripe peach and tropical flowers give way to a medium-to-full-bodied palate with a rich, creamy texture, vibrant acidity, and flavours of ripe citrus, pear and melon layered with minerality, toasted nuts and a savoury, mouthwatering finish of bitter lime peel and salty earth.
Winemaking Process: Fermented and matured in three different vessels in equal thirds — stainless steel, seasoned oak and ceramic egg — then rested on lees for 8 to 10 months with some intentional oxidative handling, building texture and complexity without losing the grape's signature drive.
Winemaker: Vietti has been one of Barolo's defining names since 1919, but this Derthona Timorasso is proof the family's ambitions extend well beyond Nebbiolo — treating a grape most of Piedmont had forgotten with the same seriousness they bring to their most storied crus.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
