Vicentino is a family-owned winery located in Alentejo, Portugal, and is run by Antonio Ventura and his daughter Filipa. Antonio is a well-respected winemaker with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He began his career in the 1980s at Herdade do Mouchão, one of Alentejo's most historic and iconic wineries, before establishing his own venture, Vicentino.
Antonio's philosophy is grounded in a deep respect for the land and the environment. The winery practices sustainable viticulture and has adopted a range of techniques to preserve the biodiversity of the region. This includes minimizing the use of chemicals and implementing cover crops to maintain soil health and improve water retention.
Grape Varietals & Region: Blend of Arinto and Chardonnay from Alentejo, Portugal
Planted in the clay-schist and sand soils, with low production potential, the Vicentino’s grapes bear their best attributes. The low productivity imposed by the soil enhances the quality of the grapes, promoting an optimum mix of organic acids, sugars and phenolic compounds. The achievement of this balance between quality and quantity, together with the mild climate allows to aim for excellency.
Taste Profile: Yellow-greenish colour. Citric notes and minerality, showing some hints od buttery aromas. The palate is engaging with vibrant acidity. It presents very long, persistent saline finish.
Winemaking Process: Hand picking. Whole-bunch pressing. Fermentation occurred in French oak barrels (Chardonnay) and in stainless steel (Arinto), in equal parts (50% each grape variety). Ageing occurred part in oak barrels, part in stainless steel, during 8 months.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
