Made by a part-time priest, in the only Txakolina region without the bubbles — this is honest, low-intervention Basque white at its purest.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Hondarrabi Zuri, from 14-year-old vines at 330 metres, grown across four family vineyards in Artomaña and Delika, next to the impressive Nervión River waterfall in the Arrastaria Valley, within the Arabako Txakolina DO, Basque Country, Spain. The vineyards sit on alluvial and clay-limestone soils, influenced by a continental climate. Unlike Txakoli from other regions, the Arabako DO eschews the characteristic fizz found elsewhere in the category — making this a still, more serious expression of the variety.
Taste Profile: An attractive straw-yellow hue with greenish reflections introduces an aroma evoking a spring afternoon — a fresh sensation of green apple and melon, complemented by a citrus hint of fresh lemon and a delicate balsamic nuance. On tasting, it delivers a pleasantly full-bodied presence on the palate, balanced by gentle acidity, with a finish that's slightly bitter yet very clean, refreshing and easy to enjoy. A fresh and savoury Txakoli with bright citrus and minerality, lovely texture from lees-ageing, and a slightly salty note. Versatile and gastronomic, ideal alongside fish, rice, and meat dishes.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are harvested entirely by hand, then gently pressed, fermented spontaneously, and aged on the fine lees for 6 months in stainless steel tanks of 2,000L and 5,000L. Tellaetxe works with a tractor but harvests by hand, mows the cover crop by hand, and applies only limited quantities of copper, sulphur, horsetail, and willow to his vines, keeping yields low for what's permitted in the appellation

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
