Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay, from estate vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, Santa Barbara County, California. Founded in 1981 in the heart of California's Santa Rita Hills, Sanford has been producing some of the finest wines in the region for over four decades. Sanford and its two historic vineyards — La Rinconada and Sanford & Benedict — are perennial top performers for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in California's Santa Barbara County
Taste Profile: Following the established house style across recent vintages of this cuvée, expect a delicious, generous, and moderately oaked wine, with warm, toasted almond aromas and cool golden apple, kiwi, and guava notes on the palate — full-bodied, creamy, and layered, well balanced by light acidity. Other tasters have noted forward oak complexity, baking spices, and toasty stone fruit, with a warming palate of appealing white fleshy stone fruit, good balance, and solid freshness. Rated 90pts. Best paired with roasted poultry, creamy risottos, or shellfish
Winemaking Process: Trey, Sanford's winemaker, believes that the vineyard and its farming is the starting point and cornerstone of wine quality. He focuses on farming with minimal intervention so as to let the fruit's natural beauty shine, advancing the estate's vision to craft wines that are clear and true representations of this unique and extraordinary place. This Chardonnay has received good scores from critics across vintages, with the Sommelier Wine Awards awarding the 2022 vintage Gold and the TEXSOM International Wine Awards awarding the 2019 vintage Silver

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
