Grape Varietals & Region: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinto Cão and Sousão, from the demarcated Douro Valley region of Portugal. Quinta do Noval Vintage Port is characterised by a purity of fruit and a fine, delicate quality typical of the property's wines in general, but which finds its most remarkable and enduring expression in the Vintage Ports, declared only when a blend, however small, is judged worthy of bearing the Quinta do Noval Vintage Port name.
Taste Profile: Wild spicy black pepper notes on the nose, with great freshness and balance on the palate and an underlying strong tannic backbone. Powerful, deep and long, this should develop into a classic Quinta do Noval Vintage Port.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are trodden by foot to obtain the must, then macerate during fermentation for the best possible extraction in the lagares, the Quinta's traditional stone vats. The wine matures for 18 months in old wooden casks in the air-conditioned cellars of the Quinta before bottling.
Winemaker: Quinta do Noval first appears in land registries in 1715. After phylloxera devastated the estate, port supplier António José da Silva bought the property in 1894 and replanted it; the Quinta is also home to the legendary Nacional plot, a small parcel of ungrafted vines planted since 1925 that somehow survived phylloxera and produces just 200-250 cases a year of what the estate considers the world's most valuable port. Since 1993 Quinta do Noval has belonged to AXA Millésimes, which has invested heavily in the property's vineyards, bottling line and parcel-specific pruning while declaring a Vintage Port only in years it judges worthy of the name.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
