Description
Pietro Zardini "Pietro Junior" Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore 2019
Pietro Zardini "Pietro Junior" Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore is a full-bodied, rich and velvety Ripasso. Intense nose of black fruits, mocha and tobacco leading you into a smooth and concentrated palate. Closes in a long, luscious finish.
Blend of 65% Corvina, 25% Rondinella and 10% Molinara. The fruit comes from Pietro Zardini's vineyards in the province of Verona. The vines grow in prevalently red and dark soils rich in debris, calcareous marl and basalt.
High quality grape selection and hand picking of the grapes into trays. Made like traditional Valpolicella with an additional 30 days contct with marc from Pietro Zardini's Amarone. Ages for about 2 years in oak barrels and barriques.
