A single-vineyard Sangiovese from the highest, poorest part of the Ricci family's Pandolfa estate, named for the woman who first saw the potential in this hillside.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Sangiovese from the one-hectare Godenza plot, the highest section of the Pandolfa estate in Predappio, Romagna, at 340 metres — calcareous yellow clay soils with a vein of sand that push the vines toward precision over power.
Taste Profile: Baked plums dusted with sweet and savoury spice, dried wild herbs, roasted game and forest floor sit over firm, mouthcoating tannins, with dark-berried fruit, licorice and candied violets carrying through to a graceful, elegant finish — brooding and reticent on opening, built to reward patience through 2035.
Winemaking Process: Aged 12 months in concrete tanks and a further 9 months in bottle before release, deliberately avoiding oak so the wine speaks purely of the Godenza soil rather than barrel spice.
Winemaker: The estate is named for Noelia Ricci, who in the 1970s was the first to recognise the potential of the Pandolfa hillside her father had bought in 1941; her son Marco Cirese now runs the property, which has been fully organic since 2021 after a conversion begun in 2018.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
