Sanrensei's core range is built around three fixed labels, but a few times a year Mifuku also releases small 'Bangai-hen' (番外編, 'extra chapter') test batches using rice and yeast combinations outside their usual lineup
Sanrensei was launched in 2007 by Mifuku's 4th-generation brewer in Koka City, Shiga, built around three generations of Shiga-grown sake rice — Wataribune No. 6, Yamada Nishiki and Ginbuki — with a name meant to evoke three stars shining in a row.
Brewed using the traditional Kimoto method, this sake shows pronounced umami and a rustic depth reminiscent of classic Edo-era styles. Its structured character makes it particularly well suited to food pairing, especially richer dishes. The brewery also notes that the flavour may evolve when exposed to air

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
