Medici Ermete Lambrusco Grasparossa Bocciolo DOC 2022

Medici Ermete Lambrusco Grasparossa Bocciolo is a semi-sparkling sweet red wine. Intense ruby red colour with a fine and rich mousse. Fruity and persistent nose of strawberries, red cherries and raspberries that also has a hint of violets. Sweet and fruity in the mouth whilst remaining fresh, lively and pleasantly harmonious.

100% Lambrusco Grasparossa. The fruit comes from the hills of Scandiano and Canossa in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy. The grapes are grown on Cordon trained spur pruned vines in clay soil and with restricted yields.

Fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Fruity & Rich Desserts

Characterised by notes of rich fruit jam/compote with a touch of spice, expect notes of prunes, plums, chocolate and spice.

Many are fortified, or are made from passito grapes

Late Harvest

By leaving the grapes on the vines longer than usual, the grapes become naturally dehydrated, and is used to make wines that are higher in resudual sugar & potential alcohol
They do not necessarily have to have noble rot, and is probably the easiest method to achieve sweet wines
