Jean Foillard Morgon "Corcelette" 2021
From a founding member of Beaujolais' natural wine "Gang of Four."
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% old-vine Gamay from the Corcelette vineyard in Beaujolais, France.
Taste Profile: Vibrant ruby in colour, with an enticing aromatic profile of red fruit — cherries and raspberries — alongside floral notes and subtle earthy undertones. Medium-bodied with a silky texture and well-integrated tannins, balancing fruit, acidity and minerality through a long, expressive finish.
Winemaking Process: Grown without certification but farmed organically throughout, with late-harvested grapes hand-selected in the vineyard. Vinification begins with whole bunches, fermenting spontaneously with native yeasts for 2 to 3 weeks, before the wine ages in oak barrels for 6-8 months and is bottled unfiltered.
Winemaker: Jean Foillard is the son and grandson of vignerons, who started making wine in 1982 and went on to become one of Beaujolais' natural wine pioneers as an original member of the "Gang of Four," alongside Marcel Lapierre, Jean-Paul Thévenet and Guy Breton. Following the teachings of Jules Chauvet, the group championed old vines, chemical-free farming, late harvests and minimal or no added sulphur, rejecting chaptalisation and filtration. Foillard is best known for his Morgon crus, including a celebrated parcel on the Côte du Py.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
