Refosco Doc Friuli Grave “Il Tralcetto” embodies the typical tasting notes and colour of this grape and has an intense ruby red colour with violet reflections, hints of spices and black pepper that overturn on the palate, ending with a note of bitter chocolate.
Grape Varietals & Region: Refosco, a native variety of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Planted in San Foca on gravelly soils.
Taste Profile: Full ruby red in color, with a complex & intense nose of soft red fruit, spice & woody tones. On the palate, expect fruity, jammy and spicy flavours, which are round and silky. A natural acidity refreshes the palate showing a harmonious and persistent end
Winemaking Process: After a manual harvest, grapes are crushed & destemmed before undergoing 15 days of alcoholic & malolactic fermentation. This is followed by 8 months of oak aging, and 6 months in bottle

These wines often have savoury tones of earth, bell pepper, tobacco, cassis, and are often medium to full bodied, with long finish & structured palattes
MLF is a process that results in reduction in acidity & the production of buttery texture & taste profile, often applied to more bodied styles of red & white wines
