Hendry Ranch Cabernet Franc 2019

The Cab Franc is done in selected vintages where the quality of the must is too good to be blended with the Cabernet Sauvignon for the Red Blend

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cabernet Franc from vines ranging between 20-30 years old, planted in Mt Veeder. The vineyard is at the intersection of the cooler Carneros appellation and the greater Napa Valley, which becomes warmer as you travel northward. Morning fog and afternoon breezes from the San Pablo Bay moderate the climate, giving them long, warm summer days and cooler nights. 

Taste Profile: Nearly opaque deep ruby color. Initial aromas of spice, oak and herbal elements, with berry fruit in the background. Mocha, cocoa, and berry flavors, with soft tannins & elegant texture. Still somewhat young and will benefit from age and/or decanting, as it continues to evolve and unfold in the glass. 

Winemaking Process: It was aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, approximately 40% of which are new.
