A zero-zero natural Marselan from the foot of the Great Wall — one of the only Chinese wineries making wine with absolutely nothing added.
Grape varietal & region: Marselan grown at Gloriville's estate in Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, at the literal foot of the Great Wall of China, on vines planted in 1999 — originally to supply fruit to large state-owned wineries, long before founder Li Jincheng took the estate in a completely different direction.
Taste profile: Natural Marselan with pronounced acidity, the kind of energetic, slightly wild profile that zero-zero winemaking tends to produce — less about polish, more about letting the grape and the place speak for themselves.
Winemaking process: Gloriville is one of the only wineries in China taking a complete "zero-zero" approach — no additions, no corrections, no added sulphites, no fining, no filtration. The estate has farmed organically since 2018 and biodynamically since 2023.
Winemaker: Li Jincheng — also known as Chengzi Li — took over his family's vineyard after discovering natural wine in 2013, and has spent the years since moving the whole project through organic and then full biodynamic conversion. He's also known for championing Longyan ("Dragon Eye"), an indigenous Chinese grape variety with an 800-year cultivation history, in other bottlings from the estate — Period Period, built on Marselan, sits alongside that more experimental indigenous-variety work as part of the same restless, land-first philosophy.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
