Domaine des Deux Roches Saint-Véran "Les Pommards" 2021
A single vineyard on the northern flank of the Roche de Solutré, farmed for slow ripening rather than early picking.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from the "Les Pommards" vineyard in Davayé, on the northern slope of the extension of the Roche de Solutré in the Mâconnais, Burgundy. The south-facing vines sit mid-slope on limestone soils with iron-rich red clay, in a cool semi-continental climate that favours slow, even maturation.
Taste Profile: Fresh, incisive and marked by a balanced minerality. Brilliant gold in the glass, with generous aromas of ripe apricot, white flowers and dried fruit. Elegant on the palate, with bright acidity, beautiful minerality and a fleshy white nectarine finish.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are hand-harvested and gravity-loaded into pneumatic presses for a long, slow, delicate pressing that preserves aromatic finesse. The must is cooled and decanted into barrels (less than 10% new) for vinification, then aged on fine lees in barrel.
Winemaker: Domaine des Deux Roches farms this Mâconnais fruit with an emphasis on site-specific bottlings rather than broad blends, taking its name from the two rock outcrops — the Roche de Solutré and Roche de Vergisson — that frame the appellation's best vineyards, including this north-facing Davayé plot.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
