Creation Reserve Chardonnay 2022

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay grown on quarts on clay soils in the Hemel En Aarde valley of South Africa

Taste Profile: Single-vineyard wine. Vibrant grapefruit and fragrant apple with a hint of honey and a sprinkling of cinnamon. Powerful body & backbone that benefits from a bit of decanting

Winemaking Process: Hand-harvested, fermented in 30% new oak and 70% second-fill French oak barrels. Left on the lees for a further 10 months while undergoing malolactic fermentation.

Buttery & Honeyed Whites

Full-bodied fruit and spice, often with the ability to age. This style usually relies on new oak to impart vanilla driven characteristics. Malolactic fermentation & on lees ageing also contributes to the texture
