Grape Varietals & Region: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot from the Pauillac AOC, Médoc, Bordeaux, France. The 20-hectare vineyard is divided into three sections — the largest portion in the north of Pauillac near Mouton Rothschild, a parcel further south close to Pichon Baron, and three hectares in the centre of the appellation — all on gravelly, sandy soils with vines averaging over 50 years of age, planted at 10,000 vines per hectare. The estate sits amidst Pauillac's most revered names: Mouton Rothschild, Latour, Lynch Bages, Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, and Pichon Baron
Taste Profile: The 2018 Fonbadet has a refined, detailed bouquet of cedar and mint-tinged black fruit that gains intensity in the glass, with oak judiciously used both on the nose and on the palate, which is harmonious and silky-smooth in texture, disguising the depth and intensity of this Pauillac. On the nose, intense aromas of cassis and black cherries are interwoven with floral notes of violet, finely roasted toast, and spice. The palate is elegant and delicate with a velvety texture, all supported by a freshness that gives length to the whole
Winemaking Process: Aged in 100% new French oak barrels, a rare and ambitious choice for an unclassified estate that speaks to the seriousness of this wine's ambitions. The 2018 is Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated with Merlot for roundness, brought up in 50% new French oak — resulting in a closed, tight, yet deeply promising style carrying darker berry fruits, scorched earth, graphite, and mineral-like aromas and flavours

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
