Bock's playful pun on its own signature grape — PortaGéza, an everyday red made for conversation, not contemplation.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Portugieser (locally Kékoportó), grown around Villány in southern Hungary, where the Bock family has farmed since 1850 and now runs the estate into its ninth generation.
Taste Profile: Crimson with a violet edge, soft velvety acidity and bright cherry fruit — light, juicy and immediate, the kind of red built for a crowded table rather than a quiet study.
Winemaking Process: Fermented and bottled after a few months' maturation in wooden barrels — just enough oak contact to round the edges without masking the grape's natural freshness.
Winemaker: The Bock family has farmed Villány since 1850, and PortaGéza — their tongue-in-cheek name for their Portugieser — is the everyday counterpart to the estate's more serious Cabernet and Cuvée bottlings, proof they don't take themselves too seriously all the time.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
