Bloody Hill is a second label for Yarra Valley cult-winemaker, Timo Mayer. Timo and his son, Rivar, work together on the Bloody Hill wines, selecting the fruit and and working alongside growers that they have built relationships with over many years. In addition, Rivar has added new plantings to the Mayer estate specifically for Bloody Hill, which we're looking forward to seeing at maturity!
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from Yarra Valley, Australia. This is an elegant, quiet Chardonnay from a property formerly owned and managed by Bress
Taste Profile: It's cool, fleshy with a crisp, clean finish. Vibrant citrus and fresh green melon lift from the glass, offering a bright and enticing aromatic profile.
Juicy nectarine and exotic lychee unfold with lively energy, complemented by a beautifully textured mouthfeel. A gentle phenolic grip adds depth and intrigue, enhancing the wine’s character. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a lasting impression of freshness and finesse.
Winemaking Process: Whole-bunch pressed and fermented in neutral oak, this wine showcases the purity of fruit with subtle complexity.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
