Barone Ricasoli "Lutelia" Chardonnay 2024
One of Italy's oldest wine families doing a fresh, saline Tuscan Chardonnay for everyday sipping.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from Ricasoli's Tuscan vineyards, bottled as Toscana IGT. Ricasoli has made wine at Castello di Brolio since 1141, so while Chianti Classico is the family's calling card, this is the white that proves they can do more than Sangiovese.
Taste Profile: Bright straw with green glints. Pear, apple, white flowers and a little citrus and exotic fruit, with a gentle lees note. Medium-bodied, soft and saline, with acidity doing the heavy lifting and almost no residual sugar (0.52 g/L). Serve at 8-10°C with seafood starters, grilled fish, salads or fresh cheese.
Winemaking Process: Cryomaceration at 5°C, then fermentation in stainless steel at 16°C for about 30 days. Six months in used 500-litre oak tonneaux, then three months in bottle. 12.5% ABV.
Winemaker: Ricasoli is among the oldest wine estates in Italy, still family run, with Francesco Ricasoli at the helm. Bettino Ricasoli, a 19th-century ancestor, is credited with defining the Chianti blend.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
