Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Nebbiolo from the Bricco San Giacomo vineyard, in the Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC, Langhe, Piedmont, Italy. Ascheri's vineyards span La Morra, Serralunga d'Alba, Verduno, and Bra — all within the prestigious Langhe area of northern Piedmont, about 60km south of Turin, the same celebrated terroir that produces the estate's Barolo. Matteo Ascheri's philosophy in winemaking emphasises a non-interventionist approach, favouring technology to enhance sustainability in the vineyards while minimising its use in the winery to maintain the wines' natural expression. He is particularly passionate about Nebbiolo.
Taste Profile: Ruby red colour with garnet red nuances. Elegant bouquet, spicy and floral, with velvety aromas of black raspberry and roses, with a hint of nutmeg. The nose is spicy, with floral aromas intertwining with violet and rose notes, revealing sweet spices, dried flowers, leather, and undergrowth. This aromatic complexity is beautifully mirrored on the palate, where the wine expresses continuity of flavour — persistent, with a soft yet dry palate that echoes the sophistication of its aromas. A velvety wine that emits scents of violet and rose and then scatters their petals across the tongue. Ideal with Agnolotti del Plin, risotto, or roasted white meats.
Winemaking Process: True to the Ascheri house style, the wine is crafted with minimal intervention, allowing the purity of Nebbiolo's perfumed character to shine without heavy oak influence — a more immediate, approachable expression of the grape than the estate's age-worthy Barolo, but carrying the same aromatic DNA

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
