A negoce blend from two of Jura's most influential winemaking siblings — Gamay from Fleurie, Pinot Noir from Alsace, no sulphites added.
Grape varietal & region: Gamay (Fleurie, Beaujolais) and Pinot Noir (Alsace), sourced and vinified by Anne and Jean-Francois Ganevat under their negociant label, based at the family's historic estate in La Combe, Rotalier, in the south of the Jura. Jean-Francois is 14th generation of his family farming this land; after years as cellar master under Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, he took over the 13-hectare home estate with his sister Anne in 1998, and the domaine has farmed biodynamically since 2006. Poulprix sits outside the estate's own vineyard-designate range — it's built from purchased fruit, a way for the Ganevats to work with parcels and varieties beyond Jura's borders while keeping the same hands-off philosophy.
Taste profile: cold semi-carbonic maceration favours fruit infusion over extraction, so this comes out supple, juicy and immediately drinkable — lively red and dark berry fruit with the kind of freshness that makes a wine disappear at the table. Good with a slight chill, alongside charcuterie or on its own.
Winemaking process: hand-picked fruit, cold semi-carbonic maceration, aged 10 months in truncated wooden vats with no new wood. Bottled without fining or filtration, and without added sulphites at any stage.
Winemaker: Jean-Francois Ganevat is one of the most influential winemakers to come out of the Jura in a generation — a fixture of the natural wine movement whose wines are chased by collectors and sommeliers worldwide. He and his sister Anne have run the family's 14th-generation estate since 1998, and their negoce project, of which Poulprix is a part, lets them extend that same philosophy — biodynamic farming, minimal intervention, wild ferments — to fruit grown outside their own vineyards.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
