Alvaro Palacios Vi de Vila Gratallops 2021
The first of the villages of the Priorat to get formal recognition as an appellation was Gratallops. This movement of growers, in part led by Alvaro Palacios, was to create an appellation system for the Priorat more like that of Burgundy
Grape Varietals & Region: 87% Garnacha, 12% Cariñena and 1% white grapes from Priorat, Spain. The fruit comes from a selection of six different old vine vineyards on the ridgelines that extend from the village of Gratallops. The vines range in age from 15-75 years old.
Taste Profile: It's pale, bright, very clean, expressive and elegant, with a great sense of harmony, contained ripeness and a medium-bodied palate with very fine tannins and a surprising sense of harmony, perhaps not super complex or deep but with a silky texture that makes it very attractive
Winemaking Process: It fermented with part of full clusters and indigenous yeasts in oak vats, with punching down and, in this case, a maceration of 31 days. The wine will mature in oval foudres and large oak barrels for 14 months

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
