Vojtek Cabernet Franc 2017
A Villány Cabernet Franc grown by the same family that's worked these vines for three generations.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cabernet Franc from Vojtek's 8-hectare holdings in the Villány wine region of Hungary — the country's warmest, sunniest region, with a sub-Mediterranean climate, southern exposure, and brown forest soils over limestone.
Taste Profile: A warm, spicy, ripe red fruit nose over a transparent dark ruby colour that's almost black. Sweet and silky on the palate despite its full body, with ripe black fruit, kirsch and sweet spice underpinning discreet tannins, closing in a long, satisfying finish.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are collected and pressed traditionally, fermented in open vats with cooling and malolactic fermentation, then aged 18 months.
Winemaker: Csaba Vojtek runs this family estate at the foot of Villány's Jammertal, where his great-grandfather first dug the cellars still used today. Alongside his wife Eszter, who manages the cellar door, he farms 8 hectares across three vineyards, treating Cabernet Franc as seriously here as any of Villány's more traditional Bordeaux-style reds.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
