Grape Varietals & Region: This delightful single vineyard Chardonnay from Hunter young-gun Angus Vinden hails from their Somerset Vineyard. The vines were panted from 1973-1987 by the Howard family over red volcanic clay and fine sandy clay loam soil.

Taste Profile: Another quality wine from Vinden - the fruit shines through with support from oaky spice and creamy texture. A gorgeous single vineyard Hunter Chardonnay with plenty of creamy texture and oaky spice.

The fruit was handpicked and basket pressed with the juice transferred directly to large format, tight grain, French & Austrian oak, where the wine underwent fermentation. During the eleven month élevage, bâtonnage was conducted to build creamy texture to support the fruit and oak spice.
